​February is known as the month of love as we celebrate St. Valentine’s Day. This is a day where we buy cards, flowers, or candy for those we love or want to be our Valentine. Many of you spend time and energy showing others how much you care about them. But… what kind of Valentine are you to yourself? Here are 14 ways that you can show yourself love no matter what day of the year it is…


1. Take a Walk
2. Read 10 pages of your favorite book
3. Give yourself a positive affirmation
4. Spend 5 minutes in meditation
5. Try something new i.e go to an art museum, history exhibit, sports event, or the theatre
6. Say NO to extra responsibilities
7. Get a massage
8. Allow yourself to cry
9. Build or fix something
10. Dance
11. Do something of service for others
12. Spend time in nature
13. Do something creative i.e. draw, paint, write, color
14. Love yourself!


Self-love verb-paying attention to yourself and what matters most; your mind, your body and your soul. Showing yourself you matter, that you are worthy and that you are beautiful. Knowing that the only person you need to please if yourself.
