Having graduated from Silo Public High School, she embarked on a mission to enact tangible change in the lives of others. With a robust background in administration, Candace has played integral roles in various administrative teams, including contributions to Logan County Ageing and involvement in the Horizon Hill Wind Project, where she sharpened her skills in leadership and project management.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Candace prioritizes self-care and personal development. She carves out time on weekends to enjoy morning coffee and immerse herself in captivating books, finding solace in the written word. Gardening has become a shared passion with her husband, offering tranquil moments amidst their busy lives. Family holds a central place in Candace's heart, with her husband Brett, beloved dog Baloo, and two Main Coon cats, Giselle and Crooks, forming the nucleus of her support system. Their familial bonds extend to numerous nephews, nieces, a great nephew, and several Godchildren, fostering a shared love for reading, particularly their favorite series, the Harry Potter books.
