Rebecca Holt
THERAPIST, LCSW

Rebecca Holt is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She received her B.S. in Family Studies from The University of North Texas and her Masters in Social Work from The University of Oklahoma. She has over 15 years experience working with children, adults, and families and has been invited to present information on trauma recovery at National Indian Health conferences . Additionally, she is an experienced Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Trained Therapist and is trained in the Post Induction Therapy (PIT) Model.

Through her experience and training, Rebecca has formed an eclectic approach in therapy to help individuals understand the roots of trauma and how it manifests in our adult lives. She believes healing emotional trauma not only helps individuals but has a positive impact on the communities we live in and is passionate about educating people about the long-term impacts of childhood trauma.

Away from the office, Rebecca enjoys spending time in nature camping and hiking. She and her husband are proud dog parents of their German Shepard, Tanya Tucker and many evenings you can find her at home cooking, watching X-Files or spending time with family.

As an advocate for ones well-being, Rebecca wanted to start a professional outlet to share her passion about breaking the stigma surrounding mental health, how to give yourself more grace, and the importance of self-care.

We welcome you to check Rebecca out, aka @hopefulholt, on Instagram and Facebook for mental health goodness, self-care tips, literary gems, and of course The Green Shoe Team.

“I love being a part of the work we are doing at Green Shoe Foundation. Each person, whether staff or participant, that enters the doors at is welcomed just as they are. It is sacred work to be a part of and I’m so grateful to experience the courage and authenticity of every human we help.”
