Wednesday Bowman
Therapist

Wednesday started her life's adventure in the picturesque landscapes of North Carolina. The family wagon then rolled into the heart of Oklahoma City, kickstarting a journey that transformed her into a true Okie at heart.

As a Mustang High School Bronco with a heart as big as the Oklahoma sky, Wednesday tossed her cap in the air and stepped into the world armed with dreams and a passion for understanding the intricacies of human connection. This led her to Oklahoma State University, where in 1996, she earned their BA in Social Sciences.

Life expanded further as she delved into the realm of counseling, earning an MS in Counseling from Mid-America Christian University in 2014. But this was not just a career path; it became a personal journey of self-care. The decision to become a therapist was deeply rooted in Wednesday’s desire to help others find healing and joy, guiding them toward a more authentic and fulfilling life. In her professional journey, Wednesday started as a case manager, navigating the complexities of mental health with dedication and compassion. Fully licensed since 2016, she now holds the title of an LPC and serves as a board approved LPC Supervisor, shaping the next generation of mental health professionals. Wednesday has experience working with intensive outpatient programs, mental health/drug court programs, and individual therapy.

Her favorite color is blue and favorite TV show is Doctor Who; a show that ignited the flames of imagination since the tender age of 7, teaching the invaluable lesson that everyone is important. This sentiment, learned from the adventures of the Doctor with two hearts and a sonic screwdriver, continues to resonate deeply with Wednesday today.

So, whether it's a Wednesday or a Sunday, Wednesday is here to share the magic of healing, joy, and the importance of every individual's journey.

“My desire to join Green Shoe stems from my overarching goal and passion for aiding individuals in discovering and comprehending their true selves. After delving into Pia's book, I underwent significant self-discovery, gaining insights into my own perspectives on the world. The prospect of extending this opportunity to assist others on a similar journey deeply resonated with me. Working within this framework, it seemed I could play a pivotal role in facilitating the healing process for those grappling with childhood relational trauma.”
